    Nice idea

It's a decent idea but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. Here's what I'd recommend.
-More levels with different orbit radii and velocities
-Smoother animation so it's easier to keep track of the moon.
    -Generally more effort graphically.
The core gameplay works; there's just not much of it.

    Not great

    Several problems:
-There doesn't seem to be any way to avoid the red balls; they will always wing you somehow. Makes the game awkward to play.
-No way to recover health. Not even by falling off and starting again.
Apart from that, a half-decent first attempt, I guess.

wut? no way of dodging the balls? jump when there at the highest point!

    Not bad

Alright for your first attempt, but you should add a visible icon on screen for the cursor; it would make things easier. Also, you can right click cheat, so you might want to take a look at preventing that. And of course, more levels, it was very short. Otherwise, good stuff.

    Uninspiring

The concept is unoriginal, it looks pretty awful and it doesn't actually work properly; if you go off the screen for too long, you should die, the game shouldn't just keep scrolling while you fumble around.
Ultimately, this is a question of effort. If you want to take an old, used concept, then give it something to set it apart from other versions. For a start, you can add some graphics which use more than 4 colours. I'm sure you can do better.

    Needs work

You were certainly right about the audio. Man, that was something else...
The gameplay itself works, but it's just too simplistic. I think you need to start learning some proper AS rather than keep using The Games Factory, otherwise your games just won't progress. It's helped you get started, now it's up to you to make sure you don't get stuck there.

    biosfreak responds:

i just keep makeing game factory games until i know everything about it
you can compare it to an RPG when your lvl 1 you first train till your 100% of level 2 and then you can wield level 2 swords
    so i first want 100%
and its not that i make games for fame or money i make games for fun and makeing friends

    Not bad for your first!

It won't trouble the Daily Top Five as it is but it's a pretty good start! The basic platforming elements all work and the layout of the level wasn't bad!

Now you just need to get on with the fun part: presentation. Put a character in rather than a box that somehow jumps, add in some backgrounds and make the platforms something to look at. Unless you're going for a geometric feel, in which case take it and run with it! More edges, replaces the coins with squares etc. Take some inspiration from games like Geometry Wars which use the same idea!

    Still, not a bad idea.

    Really good concept!

I enjoyed it, it was presented well and the core gameplay was solid. It was a bit of a thin offering though. Here's what I'd suggest for another one:

-Mix up what you have to order: building on the '1,2,3,4' set, you could have four sums or other arithmetic equations to order e.g. '3x4,2+7,16-3,4*2'. Generally, some slightly intellectual and perhaps non-picture series would work well, like release dates of movies. You could even open it up to the BBS to offer series.

-Sometimes it's a little vague regarding which direction to go in. Am I building the man from the top or from the bottom? Is the battery draining or charging? That sort of thing. Just a little clarification needed.

There's a lot of potential in this; the next one could be a real winner! Still, nice job!

    Fantastic.

One of the simplest but most challenging strategy games on Newgrounds. Heartbreakingly short it may be, but Wallace's comic motivation and the classic Wallace and Gromit music goes perfectly with what is a great game while it lasts.

Short and savoury. I mean sweet.

    I like

Maybe it was the sheer longetevity, maybe it was the funky NGAP music or maybe it was Will Ryan's corny-as-hell announcer voice which did it for me. It was a touch too easy, and the cases where it WAS hard it wasn't hard because it was particuarly challenging, just frustrating. Still, pretty damn good I'll say.

Moved on to even more moronic things.
