One of the simplest but most challenging strategy games on Newgrounds. Heartbreakingly short it may be, but Wallace's comic motivation and the classic Wallace and Gromit music goes perfectly with what is a great game while it lasts.

Short and savoury. I mean sweet.

Maybe it was the sheer longetevity, maybe it was the funky NGAP music or maybe it was Will Ryan's corny-as-hell announcer voice which did it for me. It was a touch too easy, and the cases where it WAS hard it wasn't hard because it was particuarly challenging, just frustrating. Still, pretty damn good I'll say.

The basics were covered brilliantly but there wasn't anything there that could be considered advanced. I also felt that the tips regarding humour at the end were disguised indirect attacks on other spriters, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt...

TIP: An easy way to center objects is by pressing ctrl+k and aligning it to the center.

...but not terrible, for a first flash. Things to work on:
-Higher frame rate for smoother animation.
-More attention to scale. The ground sprites looked a little bit squashed.
-Better jokes.
-More original jokes (OMG Luigi died, why didn't I think of that...)

If you work at it, you can improve. You just need to put in the time.

The jokes were a little sketchy, but they brought a smile to ones face in places. The animation was off (when animating walking inside movieclips, check it looks realistic: in the first scene, when Kirby was walking towards the Mushroom, the walking animation was way too fast.) Plus, the Kirby sprite was a bit squashed. If you were using a scripted camera, make sure the ratios of the two sides fit with the canvas size. Apart from that, pretty good.

It was a great way to kill 20 minutes but had no replay value. Also, the $10,000 button can be clicked multiple times. Just click 'states' or another button, then click back to 'upgrades', voila! It's back. Also, money just rolls in after a while, and the main problem is you can't spend it fast enough. Apart from that, very good.

For the most part the animation was good, although the sprites were a touch distorted. The main problem was the sound (and lip syncing was off) was rather crude. Yoshi's screaming was very loud and blew my speakers out. Ok they didn't really, but you catch my drift.

It was all good apart from that.

It was pretty funny, it looked good, the voices weren't bad all, shame it was a bit short.
Things to improve on: longer first i.e. more jokes and stuff. Improve the voices. They were good, but a bit quiet for my liking.
A solid start. Keep at it!
